Dr. Julia Diekämper

Julia Diekämper is a cultural scientist. In 2011 she completed her phd with an analysis of the biopolitical discourse on reproduction. She has already lectured at the University of Bremen, HafenCity Uni Hamburg, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Ernst-Moritz-Arndt-Universität Greifswald and the University of the Arts Berlin. From 2010 to 2019, Julia Diekämper was part of the academic staff in the interdisciplinary working group "Gene Technology Report" at the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities. Between 2016 and 2019 she was employed by the BMBF-funded GenomELECTION research association at the Museum für Naturkunde. Since 2019, she has headed the "ZukunftMensch" project at the Museum für Naturkunde, which is funded by the Volkswagen Foundation. Julia Diekämper works as a science journalist for Deutschlandradio Kultur.
