Prof. Dr. Hans-Wilhelm Windhorst is the scientific director of the Science and Information Center for Sustainable Poultry (WING) at the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover. Until 2011, he was also the scientific director of the Lower Saxony Competence Center for the Food Industry (NieKE). The internationally renowned agricultural expert is an advocate of modern agriculture. One of Windhorst's research focuses on innovation and diffusion research. Since 2018 he is especially in the dynamics of the alternative production of animal proteins.
